A Transformative Spiritual Journey in 2024

For many years I worked as a yoga instructor in Dubai. While I was teaching yoga, a deeper question always lived within me: Am I truly connected to the essence of yoga?

I felt a strong inner calling to understand the classical depth of yoga and to experience meditation under the guidance of a true Master. However the right opportunity never came.

During COVID, I returned to Nepal. A few months after giving it a lot of thought, I began conducting online classes, studying spiritual texts, and joining various trainings. I learned a lot-but something within me still felt incomplete.

Around then, I reconnected with my old friend Dipesh Pandey and his brother Rupesh Pandey. Both of them were deeply involved in meditation. They talked to me about their Master and an ashram in Hyderabad. They would often invite me there, however, time kept me busy. Eventually, through their continuous encouragement I finally decided to visit.

On March 13, 2024, I began my journey from Nepal to Hyderabad via Gorakhpur and Kolkata. This was the journey that introduced me to my Master for a forever connection.

This trip itself felt like a test, from almost missing my flight due to confusion at the airport in Kolkata to repeated delays, yet somehow making it at the last moment.

It taught me something profound: when the inner calling is true, the path unfolds.

Upon reaching Hyderabad at 11:30 PM, my friend Dipesh and his brother Rupesh were kind enough to pick me up front the airport. We went to Ashram, by the time we got there it was almost 1 am. After a four hour rest I woke up at 5 am feeling completely energized. This is quite unusual for me as I take my 7 hours of rest hours very seriously. This made me realize, the heightened energy and positive vibes in the ashram was something so surreal.

We then headed to the meditation program, surrounded by seekers from around the world. We were assigned a guide to initiate the meditation process for us. This is when I was introduced to Sister Sunita. She carried a radiating glow that simply transpired everywhere around her.

Under the guidance of Sister Sunita, I realized a powerful truth:

We search for the Divine outside, but it already exists within our heart.

The mind constantly runs outward, but the heart is our true center.

I learned:

I have a divine light in my heart… observe your heart… don’t force the mind.

This was the day I experienced meditation at a much deeper level for the very first time.

On the second day, I learned a deep cleansing technique. This technique is the core part of our practice.  We release inner impurities and allow divine energy to flow within. Followed  by this, Sunita sister gave us a session where she sat opposite to us and guided us for 30 minutes in silence. During this time, I had gone to another deep level of meditation where I was completely immersed and void of time.

On the 3rd day, we learnt the importance of prayer as a tool to cleanse negativity, improve sleep, and restore emotional balance.

I stayed in the Ashram for 5 days and every day we did meditation with the Master, Daaji. We also took sitting with other Preceptors in the meantime.

These practices were completely different from what I usually practice or had been aware of.

The Ashram is a huge place by itself. It has residential complexes for preceptors and guests to stay and huge forest garden and the main highlight- the vast meditation Satellite Halls . I was awed by the size and the generosity of such provisions especially at almost no cost!

I then met with one of my yoga student - Mr. Srinivas, who was kind enough to take us around Hyderabad and showed us some spots around Hyderabad city. He was also so kind enough to take us to his house. This trip didn’t seem like I was in a whole new city. Everyone’s love and kindness filled my surroundings with familiarity and warmth.

When I head back home to Nepal, I realized this was not just a journey- it was a turning point in my life. And a reinforcement that yoga is not just physical; it is a journey of consciousness.

Today, whatever I share comes from the blessings and guidance of my Master.

Thus, my mission has since been to guide people towards a healthy, joyful, and conscious life incorporating the learnings from my Master.

Gratitude to my Master 🙏
